I believe the female form is beautiful. And to photograph the girls artistically was a challenge. For instance, model Heida Run Sigudardottir looks ravishing on the beach. I've tried to blend beauty with art and the result is sensual and sexy."

The Indian cal girl

Next year's gal on the cal has emotion, character, sensuality and curves. There's a British Asian girl, Selina Soopramanien, appearing in the first-ever British University Babes 2006 Calendar. Says the 20-year-old chemistry student, "The calendar has been shot tastefully. It's created a stir because I'm an Asian."

The gals on the calendar are a tease. Says Fabia Snider of Pirelli, Italy, "The calendar is a roaring success. This year, it has been put together by world-renowned photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot. We did the shoot in the French Riviera. Jennifer Lopez made her Pirelli Calendar debut this year; we also had Giselle Bundchen, Guinevere Van Seenus, and Kate Moss. The women are nude, sexy and gorgeous. We highlight the wickedness of a woman's sexuality." Another all-time favourite calendar is Playboy Swimsuit 2006 Calendar. Says Gary Cole, director of photography at Playboy , "The playmates in our calendar are sexy and curvaceous."

For those who like their pinup sporty and sexy, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Calendar celebrates the sporty sensuality of women. Says Karen Dmochowsky, of Sports Illustrated from New York, "We've got some sexy women in sports and glamour as next year's pin-up icons."
